Michele earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from Emmanuel College. She is a member of the Connecticut Pastel Society, the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, and an artist member of the Rhode Island Watercolor Society. She has studied with master pastelists, Alain Picard and Frank Federico. She also teaches painting and drawing classes.
The artist has participated in area exhibits and won numerous awards. Many of her paintings are held in private collections. Most recently, two of her works were juried into the Pastel painters of Maine 2011 National Exhibit in June and her painting, Farmer's Market, received an Award of Merit. Her recent work, Peter's Peppers, was accepted into the Connecticut Pastel Society's 2011 National Show, Renaissance in Pastel, and received the HK Holbein Pastels Award. Of her recnt portraits, Michele was commissioned to paint the retiring head of The Providence Country Day School, Susan J. Haberlandt. This painting was dedicated in June 2011 and is displayed at PCD.
